Raleigh’s New Baseball Team Needs a Name – And We’re Counting on You!

Raleigh, hopefully you heard the news, but if you haven't, our city is getting a brand-new baseball team! And we need your help! No, not to sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame (although if you're good, give us a shout) – we need you to name the team!

We want this team to be a part of the fabric of Raleigh summers, where hot dogs are plentiful, kids get grass stains, and local fans cheer us on. We're partnering with local businesses, community organizations and youth sports leagues to make this team a year-round part of the Raleigh family. But first, we need a name that screams louder than a walk-off homer in the 9th.

We’ve narrowed it down to five solid options, and we’re turning it over to you. Below are the awesome concepts we put together for each team so you have an idea for how they will look! 

1. Raleigh Rumble – Because we want every game to shake up the city.
2. Raleigh Wranglers – Rounding up runs and rustling up victories!
3. Raleigh Blackjacks – We’re playing to win, every time.
4. Raleigh Red Oaks – Strong, sturdy, and deeply rooted in the City of Oaks.
5. Raleigh Orange Sox – Because regular socks are for boring teams.
